San Gabriel Valley Home

Welcome to the home page for the San Gabriel Valley chapter of the Triple X (Trex) Fraternity, the newest of the Fraternity’s statewide regional chapters.

The San Gabriel Valley chapter meets on the second Wednesday of every month.

The origin of the San Gabriel Valley chapter (located in the southeastern part of Los Angeles County) dates back to the early 1990s, at the urging of Bro. Dickran Tevrizian, who was inspired by the growing Armenian community in the region and a desire for more local representation in the greater Trex organization. The chapter was formally chartered in November, 2022, and the new chapter’s first official meeting was held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

The San Gabriel Valley derives its name from the San Gabriel River that flows southward through the center of the valley, which itself was named for the Spanish Mission San Gabriel Arcángel, originally built in 1771.

Once a predominantly agricultural region, the San Gabriel Valley today is almost entirely urbanized and is an integral part of the Greater Los Angeles metropolitan area. It is one of the most ethnically diverse regions in the country. The valley includes 31 cities and five unincorporated communities, with Pasadena its largest city.
