Palm Desert Chapter History

The Palm Desert Chapter of Triple-X is the newest chapter in California and is proud to be a part of this fraternal organization. We are a group of dedicated Armenian Men striving to live up to the goals and commitments to brotherhood established by our founding fathers back in 1918.

In March of 1998, several Armenian men who live in the
desert area gathered together and discussed the formation of a Coachella Valley Chapter of the Triple X Fraternity.
Through the efforts of Doug Yavanian, along with an
encouraging response and interest, an orientation meeting
was held in May, with Triple-X State Officers present.

At the 1998 State Convention, over Labor Day weekend,
the Palm Desert Chapter of the Triple X Fraternity was officially granted its Charter. With 15 members, and under the direction of our first Master, Doug Yavanian, this Chapter was off to an enthusiastic start.

The Palm Desert men have held monthly meetings, picnics,
holiday parties, attended Mid-Term Conventions and State Conventions.
The group has sparked an interest in the community for other Armenian men to participate and join in on the socialization and friendships the fraternity has provided.

Although, the youngest Chapter of The Triple X Fraternity, Palm Desert has made it’s mark in this organization with energy, enthusiasm, community involvement and continued growth. We offer our thanks to a fraternity that has provided us with such a positive and honorable history and we look forward to contributing to the continued growth of the fraternal brotherhood that we all share.
